Terms
Last updated October 25, 2026 · Draft
Pásale is made by Happy Oscar Studio (Happy Oscar LLC, Laredo, Texas). These terms cover everyone who uses it: hosts (comedians, bands, artists, venues, event organizers and their crews who sell tickets) and guests (people who buy or reserve tickets).
Pásale is the ticket booth, not the show
Pásale is software. It does three things: it gives hosts a page, it sells and sends tickets, and it lets the host's own phone check those tickets at the door. That's it.
Pásale does not organize, produce, promote, staff, host, own, rent or run any show or any venue. Nobody from Pásale is at the show. The host (the act, the band, the promoter or the organizer) is the one selling the tickets, and the venue is the place the show happens.
Who's responsible for the night
- The host (comedian, band, organizer) is responsible for the show: that it happens, what's in it, the date, time and price they post, and the people working it.
- The venue is responsible for the place: safety and security, staff, how many people it lets in, fire and building rules, permits, alcohol and ID checks, age limits, accessibility, and its own insurance.
- The host agrees to only sell tickets for places that handle those things, and to follow the venue's rules.
- Anything that happens at a show (someone gets hurt, something gets lost or stolen, a fight, a delay, what's said or played on stage) is between the guest, the host and the venue. Pásale isn't part of it.
For guests
When you buy a ticket on Pásale, you're buying it from the host. Going to a live show has normal risks, and the venue's rules apply. It can check IDs, search bags, or turn people away. Questions about the show go to the host: reply to your ticket email.
Money
- Payments run through Stripe, on the host's own Stripe account. Pásale never sees or stores card numbers.
- The ticket price a guest sees includes everything: the host's price, Pásale's service fee (3% of the host's price), the card processing fee, and in Texas the sales tax on those fees. No surprise fees at checkout.
- The host keeps their full price. Pásale's fee goes to Happy Oscar LLC.
- Hosts are responsible for their own taxes, including Texas sales tax on admissions (Pásale's tax page is a tally to help, not tax advice).
- Refunds: when a host refunds a ticket or cancels a show, the guest gets every dollar back, fees included. Pásale returns its 3%. Stripe doesn't return its card fee on refunds, so the host covers it.
Tickets
- Every ticket has its own number and QR code and gets in once. Don't post your QR online: whoever scans first gets in.
- Tickets are for personal use. Reselling above face value or copying tickets isn't allowed, and the host can cancel tickets that were.
- Refunds, canceled and moved shows work the way the Refunds page says.
Hosts agree to
- Tell the truth about their shows (date, place, price, age limits) and put them on.
- Own or have permission for everything they upload: logo, photos, clips, music in clips.
- Handle their guests' refunds and disputes. Card disputes (chargebacks) land on the host's Stripe account.
- Follow the law, including Stripe's rules and local ticket and tax laws.
We can take down a page or close an account that breaks these terms, sells fake shows, or puts guests at risk.
Hosts cover Pásale for their shows
If someone makes a claim against Pásale or Happy Oscar LLC because of a host's show, venue, content, uploads, refunds or taxes, the host agrees to defend and cover Pásale for it, including reasonable lawyer costs. This doesn't apply to problems Pásale itself caused.
Insurance
Pásale doesn't insure shows. We strongly recommend that hosts and venues carry their own event liability insurance. Most venues already do.
Fine print
Pásale is provided as it is. We work hard to keep it running, but we can't promise it never goes down (that's why the door has a guest list that works with no signal). As far as the law allows, Happy Oscar LLC isn't responsible for anything that happens at a show or venue, or for indirect losses, and our total responsibility to anyone is limited to the fees Pásale collected on that person's tickets. Nothing here takes away rights the law says can't be taken away. Texas law applies. We may update these terms; the date at the top changes when we do.
